Kompact ‘U’ shaped staircase

This modular staircase replaces the traditional type of stair but with a contemporary feel.

The tread width options are 74cm or 89cm. The 74cm tread width is mainly for smaller spaces such as a secondary access stair or in living rooms where space is limited as the going ranges from 18cm to 22cm. For building control compliance the going should be less than 22cm.The 89cm tread width stair is more regularly used as a main staircase as its going ranges from 22cm to 26cm.

We offer a choice of either light or dark stained hard wood treads and handrails making this stair at the cutting edge of open riser staircases design bringing light and space to any room and house. The steel spindles or balutsrade come as either Black White or Grey/Silver and to meet the dimensions of your room the configuration of the stair can either be a straight flight, an L shape wih one 90 degree turn or a U shape with two ninety degree turns.
